Notes

This is perhaps the jazziest music Don has written. Ms. Sepulu reflects on the human struggle with loneliness in her poem:

Calling out

Repeatedly Calling out.

Are you searching

For one that is lost?

Your call becomes fainter

Yet continues.

It is not answered

But you continue to break the silence

Over and over

Persistent in your search.

I remain silent.

There is no one to call out to.

No voice to answer mine.

No one who is able or willing

To crawl into the deep places with me

Abiding in darkness.

So I remain alone And quiet While you continue Calling out.
